Lecture
The economic climate and resulting crisis is impacting dance artists and companies world-wide. Up until now, few foreign companies have had to develop multiple income streams; governments have historically supported them. American choreographers and companies have had years of making do with less and building earned and contributed income to support their work. Now is precisely the time for U.S. artists and companies to become even stronger and more visible on the global dance stage. How to do that? Where are the opportunities? What are the challenges? These and other questions will be investigated in this presentation and panel discussion with practicing artists who have first-hand experience going abroad.
